This summary presents the results of a joint assessment of the Pinus kesiya provenance trial established at Cashel, Zimbabwe. The trial was established by the Forest Research Centre, Forestry Commission, Zimbabwe in December 1992 as part of an international series of provenance trials of the species. The joint FRC/DFSC field assessment took place in August 1998 by a team lead by Dr. Isaac Nyoka and Mr. Caleb H. Mhongwe of FRC and Christian Pilegaard Hansen of DFSC. The Forest Research Centre is thanked for their kind assistance in the planning and arrangements for the field assessment.
