It is concluded that the trials are too young for drawing detailed and specific conclusions and seedlot recommendations. It is recommended that the trials be maintained and reassessed at a later stage.
Especially the results of the Lang Hanh trial should be interpreted with care. The results differ from the general patterns of provenance variation that have been expressed in other trials, and it is feared that results may not be ‘real’ but due to mistakes in labelling and identification. It is recommended that the nursery and establishment reports be checked.
